When I asked Alex how camp was today her response was as follows: "It was kind of fun and kind of great and good. And kind of perfect. It was very great."
She played in the sandpit, did woodshop (she made a dinosaur), and had some parachute time which she always loves. She "played with everybody--all my friends." She managed to put on the clothes she came in after the pool, rather than her cold weather clothes. And although she did not find her hat, she managed not to lose anything else today. At pickup time, one of her counselors, Luke, was carrying her backpack, even though the kids are supposed to carry their own. She walked over to us in her sunglasses, too cool for school, while Luke lugged her gear. That's my girl!
