Friday (Last day of Session 2)
It's hard to believe that six weeks have already passed and we are in August. It seems like just yesterday that Bumbo frowed up in the pool.
Anyway, onto today's report. In arts & crafts they made superhero masks for carnival and a drawing. No, we didn't know it was superhero day and the kids were supposed to dress up. You would think the counselors might want to impart that knowledge on the parents so they aren't the only dumbasses dressed up like superheroes. But I digress.
In engineering they made some sort of picture frame--looks like a sunflower. She brought a few pieces from ceramics home. They look like little baskets. I will take some pics and upload later.
There was no environment today sine it was so hot again. They changed into bathing suits at that time but we didn't send her in with one because she didn't have pool that day. She got sprayed down & stuff like the other kids anyway, but she did not go on the water slide. Laura told me that she could have gone in her shorts but Alex chose not to. We're not completely sure if she passed on the slide because of not having a bathing suit or because one of her little friends didn't go. Hard to say.
They ran around and got sprayed. Alex went on the jumpy castle, like last time. She didn't do the obstacle course. We don't know if she chose not to go or if they ran out of time. Survival training, ninja training (and knight training) and now obstacle courses? Is this some kind of special ops training facility?
She got her face painted again. At pick-up time she had a fully painted face, wearing her sunglasses, and she was barefoot. She came home in a pretty good mood. I wonder why.
