Friday

See no evil? She wanted me to take a photo of just the crown...

It's too bad I forgot to get afull-length pic of today's outfit before bath time--it was really cute. Picture a hot pink skort with that t-shirt--adorable.

On Friday, upon arrival, Jeff was handed another lice letter from the nurse. Yuck. I know it's common, but yuck. Thankfully (knock wood) we have no issues, but it still creeps me out. Friday was another dress-up day. Crazy hat & crazy hair (the irony is not lost on me). Again, they forgot to mention this to the parents. Alex was a little disappointed that she had neither a crazy hat nor a crazy 'do. Instead, she wore her pink sunhat* so that she could play along.

They had Arts & Crafts but we only know that because we have the schedule and she was covered in paint. She did not discuss it. Then they had Engineering. Something about making paper and plastic airplanes. Alex lost her paper airplane and came home with only the plastic one. Basically it's two circles made from paper stuck to a straw. Very high-tech. Apparently, it flew pretty well, but Alex had taken it apart by the time I got to see it. I think Jeff fixed it though so we're all good. Crisis averted.

She came home with extra fruit in her lunch bag, interestingly enough. She left over her own apple slices and came home with another whole apple. She said someone gave it to her--it's a mystery worthy of Velma and the gang. The only thing I could think of was the Halloween razor-in-the-apples scare circa 1984 (I am guessing) and I threw it away. She also dropped it on the floor about 100 times so it was nice and bruised so she wouldn't have eaten it anyway.

For Environment, her counselor said something about leaves. Painting leaves? Flattening leaves? Hard to say. For crazy hair day her hair was green. She also said that Archery went ok but neither she nor Alex provided any further details. We don't know what Group Choice was either, but we'd have to guess Sandpit. It's always Sandpit

At pick-up time Jeff was looking all around for Alex and she snuck up behind him. She thought that was pretty amusing.

*Today's missing object: the pink sunhat. On the way out they passed the head counselor who took us on the tour when we were first looking at the camp and Alex yelled out: "Lindsay! Find my pink hat!" then she turned to Jeff and said, "Lindsay can find anything." We'll see.
