Monday

Wait. How are my hands so clean?

Now you can see my dirty forehead. That's hard to do.

Check out my big shoes....I won't be the smallest in camp tomorrow!

Today was the first day of Session 3. Hard to believe. In the morning they take the kids on a tour of the camp for those that are new. They miss swim for that. They also went into the sandpit and played games so that the kids get to know each other. You know how much Alex loves the sandpit so she'll probably come home with a dirt fumanchu. See above.

At lunch Andrew (aka "new Luke") moved her to the other side of the table where there was no peanut butter. Good lookin' out, Luke, I mean Andrew....

At farm they saw birds of prey. We didn't hear much about it. They also had tower but Alex didn't raise her hand & only 4 kids get to go each time. She already did it so I am not all that concerned. She did apparently lose the top of her water bottle at Tower. Not cool.

They also had 'Skits' they had but in the car Jeff said she was singing about a little flower. I hear her singing later, and she was NOT singing about a flower. She was singing the following:

My mama
my mama
she gave me
she gave me
a dollar
a dollar
she told me to buy a collar
she told me to buy a collar

but i didn't buy no collar
but i didn't buy no collar
i bought myself some bubblegum
i bought myself some bubblegum
bazooka zooka bubblegum
bazooka zooka bubblegum
and so on....

The English girl (she probably will turn out to be Scottish) said that Alex was a great girl and that she had a great day. She said that she got pretty dirty. Duh. She sounded almost apologetic. She'll learn. Jeff told her that Alex gets like that every day.

When Jeff showed up Alex was nowhere to be found. She eventually showed up with a dirtier face than usual, and barefoot again. She's turning into a redneck. Or a hippie. Hard to say. Is that not PC?

She didn't appear to know where her shoes were (unintentionally funny there) but one of the counselors found them. All the counselors mentioned that the top of her bottle disappeared and they looked all over for it. We will send her with a different water bottle tomorrow.
