Wednesday

No camp pics today--I was making dinner when she got home (which she LOVED by the way, see below) and then she got her bath. She wasn't as dirty (from camp) as usual so it was not as noteworthy. She did come home with wet socks and sneakers again but that doesn't really translate on camera.

Chicken? I could go for some chicken....**

Mmmm....Noodle soup!**

They had music scheduled in the morning. She has said that it's her favorite activity but we haven't heard much about it, other than when they got to sing Gaga. Maybe Music is where she learned last night's song. Then was Camper vs. Wild. They had a cookout and made S'mores. Poor Alex. The camp actually called me (and yes, I panicked a little when I saw the caller ID, I'm not gonna lie) to see if she could eat "Golden Grahams." So I told them that if they are talking about the cereal, no, but if they are talking about the cookie, yes. She can eat regular graham crackers. The woman on the phone said she must be talking about the cereal since the counselor said Golden Grahams. Given the language barrier, I'm not so sure. Looks like I was right. She could have had the marshmallows and the graham crackers. Oh well. Alex didn't seem too torn up about it so neither am I.

Ceramics ('dirty play-doh') was on the schedule but we didn't hear anything about it other than that she will be finishing something and bringing it home at some point. She's very detail oriented. In Pool it does not appear that she ventured past the steps. The new counselors may not know that she is not yet a skilled swimmer and may need some assistance. We will make sure they do. She has Pool today so we will see what happens.

She came back today very late--about a half hour after pick-up time. She didn't have her water bottle. Again. Dammit [new-Luke!]** He had to high-tail it across the street again to get it. It was in the same spot as yesterday. I guess that's where the cool kids hang out. I think new Luke will learn to check that spot before heading across the street back to Hillside from now on.

**Let's see if any of you get the pop culture references. I know a few of you will....
